This study investigates genetic sequencing of the gut microbiome (the microorganisms in the intestine) in women diagnosed with anorexia nervosa (an eating disorder). It included female patients meeting DSM-5 criteria who were referred to a specialized center. It is an observational (non-phase) study and has been completed.

Inclusion: * Women. * Referred to specialized eating disorder center. * Fulfill criteria in Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - 5. Exclusion: * Age \<15 years. * Known ongoing abuse of laxatives. * Antibiotic treatment within the last three months. * Inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer or other bowel disease.
