This observational study examined the relationship between mother-child interaction and the regulation of candidate genes in stress signaling pathways in mature (38-41 weeks) newborns. Healthy first-born infants who were not separated from their mother in the first three hours after birth were included. This no-intervention study had no assigned phase and has been completed.
