This observational study examined the relationship between DNA methylation of the ARHGEF11 gene and macrosomia (babies born unusually large), using an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) as part of the assessment. Pregnancies complicated by high blood pressure, pre-gestational diabetes, thyroid or kidney disease were excluded. It was conducted as a study without an assigned phase and has been completed.
