This study examines the use of a carbohydrate-rich diet as a treatment in patients with acute intermittent porphyria. It enrolls people aged 18 and older with a diagnosis of acute intermittent porphyria who do not have diabetes and are not pregnant. The study does not use a phase designation and is currently recruiting participants.

Inclusion Criteria: * Diagnosis of AIP Exclusion Criteria: * Not having diagnosis of AIP * Undergoing treatment as part of other clinical research on AIP * Pregnancy * Diabetes * Below 18 years of age
