This study investigates the underlying biochemical pathways involved in Parkinson's disease (PD), in particular dysfunction of the mitochondria, the cell's energy-producing 'powerhouses'. People aged 18 and older who have Parkinson's disease or a related condition (such as Parkinson's plus, dystonia or tremor), or who join as healthy controls, may take part. It was run as a study with no assigned phase and has been completed.
